Gags’ Nightmare: A Haunting Experience will be conjuring up some Halloween fun as it celebrates its Grand Opening Friday, October 13th in downtown Green Bay. A first of its kind in northeast Wisconsin, Gags’ Nightmare: A Haunting Experience is an immersive theatrical event mixing elements of haunted house and escape room, rooted in the delusions of Gags the Clown, and serves as a fundraiser for The Production Farm. The Production Farm offers programming primarily to foster care children and teens teaching film making, life-skills, gardening and animal care.
Last year, Gags the Clown made international headlines as the clown with black balloons who was spotted downtown Green Bay in the middle of the night. It was later revealed Gags’ appearances were a publicity stunt by director Adam Krause for his horror film Gags. It worked.
Krause teamed up with Carolyn and Wyatt Kuether on the Gags’ Nightmare fundraiser for the Production Farm after meeting at the Green Bay Film Festival in 2017. Area actors involved include some from the Gags film, Green Bay’s Evergreen Theatre, as well as, students from The Production Farm. The Gags’ Nightmare: A Haunting Experience Grand Opening begins Fri. Oct. 13 from 6-11pm at 417 Pine Street, Green Bay, WI 54301. For more information on the Production Farm, please visit www.theproductionfarm.org or contact production manager Kurt Krauss (920) 948-6737.
