Bruce Springsteen puts on a stellar live show. The musician is also heavily involved in giving back. He has performed at various concerts supporting efforts to raise funds for charity, has his own charitable foundation called the Thrill Hill Foundation, and has raised money for military veterans. Most recently, Springsteen released a 1978 live show in its entirety to raise money for MusicCares Hurricane Relief Fund which will help those who have been affected by the hurricanes that hit Texas and Florida this year.

In 1978, Bruce and the E Street Band performed at The Summit in Houston, Texas. According to his website, Houston was one of the musician’s earliest springboards in his career and includes “the final leg of the Darkness tour, including the extended intro version of “Prove It All Night,” the rarely performed “Streets of Fire,” and Darkness outtakes “Fire” and “Because the Night.” (brucespringsteen.net).” Although the live show was included in his Darkness on the Edge of Town box set, fans have been looking for the show in a stand-alone audio format, and now they have access to it.

The Houston show is available in a variety of formats and can be purchased through Bruce’s website. This not only makes it easy for fans to have access, it also helps benefit the people in hurricane-damaged areas quickly because all the proceeds from the sale of this album will go directly to hurricane relief effort.  Fans can purchase the 1978 show “as MP3 and hi-res downloads including audiophile grade MQA, or as a 2 CD set (brucespringsteen.net).” By purchasing the album, fans will get one of The Boss’s best live concerts, but also support much-needed hurricane relief. It is a win-win all the way around.

Bruce Springsteen’s live shows are stellar, and the talented singer-songwriter has released his 1978 Houston, Texas live show to help support MusicCares Hurricane Relief Fund. Fans can purchase the stand-alone audio of this show through the musician’s website and also provide much-needed support to those who experienced the devastation from this year’s hurricanes in Texas and Florida. For those interested in purchasing the 1978 Houston Texas show it can be ordered at  live.brucespringsteen.net, Bruce Springsteen’s official live recording service. Bruce Springsteen, the E Street Band, Sony Music, and nugs.net are excited to send support to those in hurricane-devastated areas.
