The broadcast will feature live performances and stories about the songwriting on the duo’s new collaborative album, Who Believes in Angels? The concert will be recorded at John and Carlile’s upcoming performance at London’s Palladium Theatre on March 26, with the special featuring a mix of new and classic songs from the duo, including an unreleased track by Carlile. In addition to the performances, the program will also include close friends and cohorts paying tribute to the artists’ careers, along with an intimate sit-down conversation between the music stars that will “pull back the curtain on their 20-year friendship, the journey behind their latest collaboration and share intimate footage from their process.” John and Carlile were just nominated for an Oscar for co-writing “Never Too Late” from the documentary Elton John: Never Too Late, alongside longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin and producer Andrew Watt.
