On late Sunday night (February 16), Sabrina Carpenter wowed guests at SNL’s 50th Anniversary Afterparty at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The Grammy-winning singer delivered impressive performances of “Miss You” by the Rolling Stones and “Like A Virgin” by Madonna, before she was joined on stage by actresses Jenna Ortega, Emma Stone, and Kristen Wiig for a rendition of the Etta James’ classic, “At Last.” In a video shared on TikTok, Dave Chappelle could be seen enjoying Carpenter’s Stones cover along with the live house band, while clips shared on X capture Carpenter’s dynamic take on Madonna’s anthem. In addition to Carpenter’s entertaining performances during the afterparty, the “Espresso” hitmaker also kicked off the SNL 50th Anniversary Special earlier that evening by duetting with Paul Simon on Simon & Garfunkel‘s wistful 1966 tune, “Homeward Bound.” The 83-year-old Simon famously performed that song with George Harrison on the sketch comedy show back in 1976, which, Carpenter quipped, was before she – and her parents – were even born.
